Qi Tan was previously a pulmonologist in China and was involved in clinical trial studies in pulmonary MDR-TB over the past decade. She was also a visiting fellow with us for one year following a year at UMass Medical Center, where she studied host immune response against TB. She is focusing on epidemiological studies in collaboration with Socios En Salud in Sucursal Peru. She is currently evaluating chest imaging in TB patients and their household contacts, investigating TB transmission, incident disease progression and developing strategies for early TB detection and prevention.
